Dear CCAM Partners and Friends,
This is our third update about the progress being made researching medical treatment for Buntheep, who now has a U.S. visa, miraculously awarded in one day! Praise the Lord! At her arrival in the U.S., the officer at customs will decide how long she may stay--usually 6 months.
Several physicians are questioning the diagnosis of a prolactinoma. They feel that the elevation of prolactin is not as high as would be expected from a prolactinoma of that size. One physician is concerned that, due to calcifications, the tumor might be a solid craniopharyngioma. Another physician is suspecting that it might be a fast-growing malignancy.
Following are the main hospital/physician options still being researched (none definite yet). What we need is a dynamic trio--physician, hospital, plus financial aid package!
- U.S.A.
- St. Jude's Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee?
- Wyler's Children's Hospital, Knoxville, Tennessee?
- St. Louis Children's Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri?
- Children's Medical Center, Dallas, Texas?
- Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania?
- Baptist Hospital, Pensacola, Florida?
- Denver, Colorado?
- Chicago, Illinois?
- California?
Following are U.S. medical funding organizations still being researched:
- Mending Kids International?
Please let us know if you have any medical or funding connections in these or other places. Praise the Lord for His answers to our prayers so far! And please continue to pray that our Lord Jesus Christ will miraculously heal Buntheep according to His perfect will.
Many blessings,
Gioia and Noren
for Buntheep and the CCAM Family
