Dear CCAM Partners and Friends,
Buntheep keeps improving as time goes by. As of now, the side-effects from the Calcitonin are much milder, and there have been no more nose bleeds for quite a while. Also, she is up to 30 times on most of her physical exercises and can handle the stairs without knee pain and stumbling. However, because of all that she has endured, Buntheep's progress continues to be very slow. Compared to the other girls her age, she still lacks physical stamina and muscle strength. Nevertheless progress is being made!
It has been about a month since Roslyn left CCAM to return to the States. We miss her very much and appreciate all that she did to help us. When she left, I received back the daily work she was doing for Buntheep on my behalf---giving injections of Calcitonin, supervising physical therapy, and tutoring.
This work has now been added to my regular schedule of teaching, administration, and correspondence, not to mention the backlog of responsibilities still piled up from the 8 months that we were in America and the new responsibilities of house hunting and packing. However, I am so pleased to continue helping Buntheep for as long as it takes, so that she can keep making progress down that long road to complete recovery. Praise the Lord that my right hand is completely healed and back to 90% functionality, which is all that I had before the surgery, due to past injuries. In any case, that is good enough to handle the injections.
Thank you for your prayers these many months. Now that the constant emergencies concerning Buntheep's health are a thing of the past, let's not forget that the tumor, albeit shrinking, is still present inside her head! Please keep praying for her complete healing for as long as it takes. And also keep praising God for His healing thus far!
