GREAT IS HIS FAITHFULNESS
November 30, 2012

Dear CCAM Partners and Friends,

Praise the Lord for His faithfulness to provide for all of our needs! Ever since August, when we first invited you to pray about our financial crisis, large one-time donations have come in every month to boost our lagging regular support, so that we have continued to meet our provisional budget. In addition, we are very grateful for some new donors who have pledged regular monthly or quarterly support, as well as for regular donors who have increased their donations. Please pray for more donors like all of these.

Praise God that, even in the midst of our overall financial bind, He has continued to provide special donations for the following projects:

  1. In August, the CCAMS children’s book entitled “A True Friend,” was mass produced, and has since been distributed to poor children in many provinces. Pray that we will be able to get these books into stores and market stalls by early December to reach Christmas shoppers.
  2. In September, we ordered five special yigay drums and purchased fabrics and trims to create new costumes for “The Farewell Dance.”
  3. In October, the CCAMS orchestra recorded many songs with guest singers at Trans World Radio studio to accompany our new dances.

Besides finances, another ongoing prayer request has been for God to raise up more staff members to help shoulder the teaching and ministry responsibilities at CCAMS. Of course, the answer to that prayer would also add more strain to the financial situation. But nevertheless, during November we have received three new staff interns!

The first one is Kelsey Wilson, our AIM intern from America, who has already completed over a year volunteering with us part-time. Now she believes that God is calling her to serve full-time, so she has moved in with us. This is allowing her a lot more time to accomplish her teaching and ministry goals and to develop closer relationships with us.

The other two staff interns, Sokrin and Sovan, are Khmer, coming to us from a local Bible School. We first met them when we visited their school to demonstrate how to use Khmer traditional musical instruments to worship God. During a school break, Sokrin rescued his younger brother Betell from an abusive living environment and brought him back to school with him. Of course, Betell was too young to stay at the Bible school indefinitely, so last month we arranged for Betell to become a CCAMS student. By God’s grace, now the two brothers have been reunited.

Basking in the faithfulness of our God,
Gioia and Noren
