JOINING TOGETHER IN PRAYER
August 31, 2013

Dear CCAM Partners and Friends,

At the beginning of this month, a few large one-time donations came in to help cover CCAM monthly expenses for August! Praise God! But now we are again facing the new month of September without adequate funds. Please continue to pray for large one-time gifts to keep coming in, while also praying that God will call people to pledge regular monthly donations to help shoulder the financial yoke over the long haul.

Kelsey has already been speaking about CCAM at many venues in Colorado, receiving in-kind donations of needed art supplies and 10 laptop computers! Please pray that her own personal missionary support will be provided, as well as additional financial support for CCAM.

Baby Grace now weighs 2 kilos 8 grams! Please continue to pray for her healthy growth to maturity.

Recently Gioia started teaching story writing to a new generation of CCAMS students. At the present time, there are 16 new children’s stories in progress! Please pray for these young authors as they craft their first stories.

Lina Pao, the CCAMS graduate who wrote the first-to-be-published children’s book “Miknia’s Doll,” has recently spent her two-week vacation at CCAMS, writing and illustrating a sequel to that book entitled “Miknia’s Kittens,” based on Hebrews 13:16. Until the new book is finished, Lina will continue to work at CCAMS on Saturdays whenever she is free. Please pray that Lina’s labor of love will soon be completed.

Another former CCAMS student, Chan Borey Pich, is now coaching our advanced music class to arrange their own original song melodies on the computer in preparation for eventually recording the vocals. All of their lyrics have been inspired by the Word of God. So far two song arrangements have been completed. Please pray for God’s continued blessings on this project for His glory.

And our long-time friend, Roslyn Darr, has volunteered to teach English to our senior students preparing to take the government exam for 12th grade. Please pray for her health and strength as she comes to teach them each week.

Praise God that Gioia’s choreography for the “Song of the Bondservants” dance drama (commissioned by Pastor Kevin Kane) is one-third finished! Please pray for the Holy Spirit’s continued inspiration as she creates the rest of the choreography. The lyrics are derived from Philippians 2, exploring the theme of reconciliation in the Body of Christ. The original music for this dance was composed by Pastor David Bin, who will also perform vocals for the recording, so please pray God’s blessing upon him as well.

Of course, don’t forget to pray for all of the CCAMS student dancers and musicians who will be performing all of these new works. And also pray that God will provide the funds, space, equipment, and technicians to record the musical accompaniment for our new dances, so that we will be ready to perform them in response to many invitations during the Christmas season.

A while ago, Pastor Kakada introduced us to a single mother with three young children who was very poor and also dying of cancer. When we heard their story, we began to process the documents needed to receive all three children at CCAMS. Since that time, the mother has passed away, leaving the children orphans. However, within a few days they will become the newest members of our CCAM family! Please pray for a smooth transition for them and for us.

And in addition to these CCAMS prayer requests, please pray for continued peace in Cambodia. The opposition party leader here in Cambodia is planning to stage a demonstration on September 7. Some isolated violence did occur between rival party members during previous demonstrations. May God give wisdom to the leaders of the political parties and to the leaders of the government (1Timothy 2:1-4).

Joining all of you in prayer,
The CCAMS Family
