Dear CCAM Partners and Friends,
We are thankful to God for so many things! Ever since the unfortunate departure of two rebellious student leaders a few weeks ago, the remaining student body at CCAMS has gradually been restored and comforted! Now they have returned to cooperating with one another and with the leaders again, so that peace has returned to our place! In addition to that, everyone has been healed from illness!
The 2015 CCAMS Family Thanksgiving Ceremony was celebrated yesterday with heartfelt music, singing, and dancing, as well as with scripture reading, prayer, preaching, and testimony! Sophun was the M.C. and Dina served as worship leader. Pastor David preached from Colossians 2:1-15 and also officiated at the communion table.
CCAMS student Sreynuon gave a moving testimony about how God has been pruning her in the midst of the recent student upheaval. She shared that, when the two students left (one of them being her cousin), she suddenly realized that the way that she and the other students had been handling things was all wrong. They should have called the CCAMS leaders to help redeem the situation, instead of hiding their mutual sins from the leaders by lying and covering for one another. Therefore, she felt that she was partially responsible for the two students’ departure, and she made a commitment to God and to everyone listening to be honest and to communicate with the CCAMS leaders in the future. At previous worship services during this period of recovery, two other student leaders, Sitha and Rotha, had also shared similar testimonies. We thank God for how He has been bringing good out of evil!
“And we know that God causes all things to work together for goodto those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
Romans 8:28
At our celebration, live music featured students singing and playing numerous instruments, both in Khmer and Western styles. Closing the program was the debut performance of our newest drum dance, “Enter His Gates with Thanksgiving,” lyrics by Gioia and Noren, music by Pastor David, choreography by Sophun and Reaksmey, costume design by Reaksmey, costume construction by Bunnan, and costume trim design and execution by Soknieng.

Even as we thank God for His blessings and His answers to our prayers, please join us as we continue to pray for His solutions for our continuing lack of adequate housing and financial resources.
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything,by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving,
let your requests be made known to God.”
